Meet Dr. Keyser

Dr. Mary Morgan Keyser

Dr. K was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UNC-CH, completing her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology while minoring in chemistry and Spanish, with a brief stint studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain. As a member and coach of UNC’s women’s club lacrosse team, she helped the team bring home two national championships.

Dr. Keyser’s practice philosophy centers on four guiding values (we call them “skyscrapers” in our practice) — Personalized Care, Clinical Quality and Consistency, a Joy-Filled Environment, and Neighborly Community Connection. This framework drives a commitment to comprehensive, evidence-based orthodontic treatment that achieves not only beautiful smile aesthetics but optimal bite health and whole-patient care.

Areas of Study

Dr. Keyser went on to study orthodontics in Chapel Hill. During dental school, she met her now husband, Dr. Robb, who is a prosthodontist (dental specialist in implants and tooth replacement). During residency, Dr. Keyser conducted research on the relationship of jaw and tooth positions to speech. She was recognized nationally for her research and awarded the Joseph E. Johnson Clinical Award from the American Association of Orthodontics.

Associations

Dr. Keyser loves the world of dentistry and enjoys being involved in organized dentistry on many levels. She is a leader and board member of the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists (NCAO) and serves as a board member for the Invisalign Advisory Board representing orthodontists from all across North America.

She is also a member of the Raleigh-Wake County Dental Society, the North Carolina Dental Society, The Triangle Orthodontist Study Club, the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). She has served as a member of the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation (AAOF) Board of Directors. Dr. Keyser is also a board-certified orthodontist, which is a certification that only 60% of all orthodontists have.

Personal Life

When not enraptured by the world of teeth, the Keysers can be found training for various triathlons, playing lacrosse, golf, or tennis, attending any and all Tar Heel sporting events, or spending time with family. Dr. Keyser has two energetic sons—Wells and Cliff—and an equally energetic black Goldendoodle, Porter, who spends most of his days in our office as the therapy dog.
